WHAT ARE OUTDOOR PLANTS?

Just as when we talk about decorating the living room or the hall we insist on the importance of choosing indoor plants, when designing a garden or terrace it is important to know what the outdoor plants are since they are the ones that will best adapt to that environment , making sure that you will have it very beautiful all year round.

  • Here are some examples of the best known : geranium, bougainvillea, agave, jasmine, clematis, palmetto, ivy, chrysanthemum, daisy, rose bush, lavender or pansy.

WHAT ARE THE MOST RESISTANT OUTDOOR PLANTS?

Having a beautiful garden does not have to become another concern. Although there are delicate plants that need attention, there are also others that are very resistant and grateful . The following examples are good proof of this:

  • Chrysanthemum, geranium, pansy, Chinese jasmine, carnation, blue lily, lavender, pansy, laurustinus and geranium are some of the most popular and resistant in gardens and terraces. In addition, the perennial leaf of the ivy guarantees that you will have the trellis, the wall or the wire mesh of your garden covered all year round.

WHAT PLANTS RESIST SUNLIGHT?

The fact that a plant is resistant does not make it immortal, especially when it comes to the sun. There are many plants that need lighting but not direct sun. If you are looking for species that have it all, take good note because this interests you:

  • Daisies, bougainvillea, agave and geranium will grow happily in your garden or terrace. In addition, they all grow well with moderate watering in summer.

WHAT ARE THE PLANTS THAT LAST THE WHOLE YEAR?

Depending on the duration of their life cycle , plants that last all year can be annual, biennial or perennial.

  • Annual plants . They are the seasonal plants that flower soon after planting and once the flowers wilt they can be thrown into the compost heap. Begonia, chrysanthemum, dahlia, geranium and calendula are some of them.
  • Biennial plants . They grow during the first year and it is in the second when they produce their flowers, but then they dry up. The red dogwood and the rosebush are good examples.
  • Perennial plants . They can bloom at any time; some do it from the first year, but it is normal for them to take a little longer. What is certain is that once they do, they will continue to do so until they die. Carnation, joy of the house, Archontophoenix palm and lavender are in this group.
